How to do it

Over time the brine tank accumulates salt sludge and mineral 'mush' at the bottom that can clog the system. A periodic cleanout keeps the brine drawing correctly.

1. Use up the salt or scoop it out, then unplug or bypass the unit.
2. Drain the brine water and lift out the brine grid and float assembly at the bottom.
3. Wash the tank with warm soapy water, rinse, and clear any sludge from the bottom.
4. Reassemble, refill with fresh salt, and return the unit to service.
